A List of My Accomplishments...sort of.

I just finished reading updates from one of my best friends. She writes on two blogs about once a week. I feel sheepish. Seriously. We both studied English together, and she has a little one to take care of (shout out to Rinda!), yet she manages to keep it together. I know she would be amazed to hear that, but it's true. She keeps so much together.

After reading a month's worth of posts (so I get a little behind, sue me), I realized facebook and Pinterest were probably not my most worthwhile activities. Instead of wasting hours looking at what other people do, I'm going to try (yet again) to write about what I'm doing, and what I want/hope to do. Maybe that way I'll manage to have something to look back on when I have time to reminisce.

Too often I don't write because I am afraid others will judge my writing crappy, or my life uninteresting. Bah! Since I last wrote, many, many things have happened. For example:

  • I got married. Yup. Me. A tall handsome redhead who currently sports a beard. And he studied math. I'm just going to say it: we are the perfect compliments of each other. English and math. What will happen when we decide to have kids? What happens when math and English get together?
  • Neal graduated from school. Woot!
  • I...didn't graduate. But I will. If I can ever figure out this beast of a thing called a thesis. Really, it's the most enigmatic project ever.
  • I got an awesome job for the next year. As awesome as it is, the pay makes public education look lucrative. Oh well, I was never in it for the money.
  • Neal got a job! Actually that is recent news. Yesterday. Now Ogden High School has a rockin math teacher. And I am a math teacher's wife.
  • I grow plants again, but this time the vegetables are doing well!
  • We canned carrots and strawberry jam and are currently working on apricots and plums.
  • I finished watching the entirety of Star Trek: The Next Generation. Neal and I both have a crush on Patrick Stewart.
  • I began riding my bike to school, but no one calls me athletic. Come on, people! I'm going green and getting fit!
Well, I guess that about covers it. All my accomplishments over the past seven months. What would be an accomplishment would be if I actually blogged again next week. We'll see.

  1. I think your list of accomplishments are impressive. I hope you do post more (mostly for selfish reasons). Your reason is good too. ;)
